Mission History
We are currently providing integration and test (I&T) and mission operations control (MOC) support utilizing ASIST for the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution Satellite (MAVEN) successfully launched November 15, 2013, Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) successfully launched February 28, 2014, the Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission (MMS) scheduled to launch February 2015, and OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Rendezvous mission to asteroid Bennu schedule to launch September 2016.
As a key supplier to Lockheed Martin for the MAVEN mission to Mars with our award winning ASIST commercial satellite ground system, DesignAmerica is successful in every phase of the satellite development life-cycle. From early software simulation and hardware testing in the development labs to full satellite integration and test to the mission operations control center, ASIST and DesignAmerica provids the solution for Lockheed Martin.
From low orbit earth observing with EO-1 (Earth Observing-1) to the Moon (with the discovery of water with LCROSS), to the Sun with the Solar Dynamics Obervatory SDO, and now to Mars with MAVEN, DesignAmerica is proving once again that "ASIST Means Mission Success!"
Mission History
ASIST has a long and distinguished history in both satellite and instrument Integration and Test (I&T), and Mission Operations Control Centers. We have successfully developed and delivered I&T systems and/or Mission Operations Control Centers for: the X-Ray Timing Explorer (XTE), the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM), the Far Ultraviolet Spectrographic Explorer (FUSE), the Microwave Anisotropy Probe (MAP), the Imager for the Magnetosphere (IMAGE). Other recent missions include the Integration and Test and Mission Operations Control Centers for the Solar Dynamics Obersvatory (SDO), and the Lunar Crater Exploration and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS).All of these systems are highly acclaimed and successful, and are still on-orbit under ASIST development or control.
ASIST MEANS MISSION SUCCESS!
